I find that my style of teaching changes lot, as I change. My curiosity has led me to study different styles of yoga, massage, sound healing, pilates and movement. If I’m asked what I teach I usually say that’s it’s a beautiful mix of all of my favourite things : slow moving gooey flows in various forms, yin yoga that feels like a puddle, myofascial release (hello cork balls!) pilates classes that allow you to explore, movement that can feel like play between form and formless - much of what I teach is often blended with scents and sounds.
After giving birth to my little daughter Iv’ve taken a step back yet at the moment I teach a few weekly classes, host sound baths, events, workshops, privates and retreats here and abroad.
I am currently studying to be an Advanced Breath Instructor and I’m studying herbalism.
HEY.
It’s been quite the journey to get where I am today and I’m so excited for how it all will continue to unfold.
From an early age I have been curious about the workings of the body but also the layers that go beyond the physical.
Having grown up in the countryside of Finland where I learned to grow food and forage the forest for treasures, nature has always been a source of inspiration and connection to me. From the forests of Finland I travelled the world and lived abroad for nearly 15 years. I kept coming back to enjoy the tranquil summer and pure nature that’s quite unique to this place.
During my travels I visited New Zealand a few times before I ended up moving there and calling it home for nearly 8 years.
During this time my interest to study the human body and movement resulted in me moving to Helsinki for a year to study massage. Not long after I completed my first Yoga Teacher Training in Bali in 2016 and it changed my life in quite an unexpected way. That month on the Balian Beach is forever carved into my body and I met some of my most cherished friends there.
After studying massage and yoga I moved back to New Zealand. There I started working at the ever so stunning and impressive Aro Ha in Glenorchy. I learned a lot about running the most exquisite luxury retreats there while being totally immersed and connected to nature.
Since then I have moved back to Helsinki and now call this place my home.
